The Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist | 1849 Marshall Avenue, St Paul, MN
The Church is just South of I94 at the intersection of Marshall and Fairview. Take the Snelling exit off of 94 and go South. Turn West on Marshall to Fairview. For more detailed directions, see our Wedding Map. Free street parking available.
The beautiful old building is where Julie has found her church home in the Cities. We're happy to have Peter Boelke marrying us. He does church with a mix of old and new, which suits us just fine and we hope he will make you feel comfortable and happy to be at our wedding.
Please help us bless our marriage by taking part in the ceremony. Sing songs, pray with us and be present. You will be our witnesses, as we say our vows and begin a new chapter in our lives together. This is not a solemn church service, but a joyful one and we want you to be part of the ceremony by joining in singing love songs accompanied by the organ. Our great organist, Dr. Richard Wagner is an ordained minister with a doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of Minnesota. He does organ in the style we like – big.

We love this neighborhood bar, so when Erica suggested we have our reception here, it seemed like the perfect solution.
This historic St. Paul bar was once a car repair shop. The old wood floors and leaded glass windows give the building a lot of charm. We’ll be upstairs in their banquet room which also boasts antique bars, a fireplace, darts and a pool table. Come hungry to eat some great food, drink good beer and cut a rug (don’t forget to request a song)! Please also enjoy their lovely patio behind the bar when you need some fresh air.
